How to open 2 independent instances of PP2007

Hi all,

just migrated to office 2007 and can't figure out how to open 2 independent
instances of PowerPoint, for example. Want to have one PPT on one monitor
and another Powerpoint on the second.

Is there any reg trick?

TIA

I don't believe that is possible. The closest you can get is to use the
"arrange all" or similar feature. I use that and streatch it across
dual-monitors. It appears as though it is running two instances.

As Tim said, you can't do it. The only thing you can do is play with the
setting that determines how many icons appear in the taskbar. I believe
it is in PPT Options, Advanced.

But it was possible with 2003.
Used that with excel 2003 on dual monitor conf.

By the way, is it possible to open excel workbook in excel and then open
sheet as a separate to place it on second monitor? Not the second book but
just a sheet from the same book

??

Excel and PPT handle these windows issues differently. Play around with
the same setting in Excel and see what you can do.
