how to open a underscored letter in a word

Some words have a letter thats underscored.....I think I used to right click
and it opened up an explanation, now nothing happens since I got office
2007.What does that underscored letter mean etc.I right click it and nothing
happens.Do I need to change my settings etc.

Hold the Ctrl key down and press the letter kept that is underscored and see
what happens.
