how to open my database

i have splitted my database ( tables ) from other objects . now if i copied
this to my pc at work it is not working there . it will say" you dont have
permission to open .refer to admin or databse creator.and even if i try to
open same database as my pc at home but from another user name same problem i
face . what should i do

You might want to try view the file name in Windows Explorer. Right click
the file and select Properties. Click the Advanced button and see if there
is a property that you can change to tell your system this file is safe to
open.

thanks Mr Daune ..
i tried this but i am not getting this. i will only get a messing saying you
dont have permission etc.i am not even getting the log on box to put my user
name and password.

Have your (or someone else) implemented Access security on the file?
Can you create and delete files in the folder containing the mdb file?

yes, i made a workgroup where there are other users but am the main user and
the creator.if i try to access the database thru my windows user name , i can
open it .but , if i copied the same file to other computer , or even if i
tried to access the same file thru diff windows user i wont get access to it
and above msg will come.

I am no security expert but you must have and use the security file to
access a secured file.
