how to open read-only archived pst files

Saved my archived email messages to a cdrw drive on a windows xp computer.
Cannot open the folder says access denied the files are read-only. Also
tried to open them on another xp machine same results the mail was received
in outlook2002.

The *.pst file needs to be copied from the CD onto your hard drive and the
"Read Only" attribute needs to be taken off of the file after it's on the
hard drive. You should then be able to access the file.
