how to open two spread sheet in two different windows?

Andrew

We are using Excel 2007 in Vista.
Our systems are connected with two monitors per system.
How can we show two different spread sheets in two different windows,
showing in different monitors?
The "New Windows" does not work. It creats one display windows, with two
spread sheets showing in the task bar.

Have You tried to expand your desktop top two monitors? Then open each sheet
in a windowed mode and just move one to the other monitor. It works as if you
would have one monitor two monitors wide.

Yes, it works.
Unfortunately, this does not work for powerpoint though.

Who is talking about Powerpoint here? :) This is excell discussion.

Talking about Powerpoint - you can have poverpoint presentation on one
screen as fullscreen and do something else on the other. This is especially
useful if the second monitor is a projector.

I am still unable to open two different spread sheets, each fill one
monitor.
When I open the first spread sheet, regardless which monitor I move this to,
when I open the second spread sheet, the second sheet will be on top of
the first sheet, in the same window.

Did I set some Excel option incorrectly?

Andrew,
- First open your 1st Excel Spreadsheet you want to work with,
- then click on the Excel icon to open a new/blank spreadsheet which will be
on the same monitor as your 1st spreadsheet,
- Drag the new/blank spreadsheet to your 2nd monitor,
- On this new/blank spreadsheet, click on the toolbar - FILE>OPEN to open
the 2nd spreadsheet your are working with.
- PRESTO! Two different spreadsheets on two monitors

Hope this helps
