How to open Word 2007 ,doc in Word 2003

Using Word 2003. Colleague sent me Word 2007 as attachment through email.
Document opens in unreadable form.

You either need your colleague to "save as" 97-2003 format, or you need
to install the 2007 compatibility pack.
