How to override locale

Hi,
I am using vba macro to substitute bookmark with the data.
But the problem is When I convert data to a barcode font, it preserves some
of the characters in the data. The data is basically Thai and I am using thai
locale on the pc.
When I use the same application on a pc with non thai ( english ) locale,
all of the characters are replaced to barcode.
Is there any way to override locale?
