How to password protect a section of my web page

I am trying to create a password protected section on my
webpage. I've gotten to the point where I've created a
folder and put all my documents in that I want to protect
and then converted it to web, when I go the publish the
web and specify the location--does it want my address
(www.tughill.org)or the address of the company we host
with? Also do I need to rename the folder instead of it
just saying New_Folder?
