How to Paste Clipboard into a single cell

It is possible to past the entire contents of the
clipbioard into a single cell in an excel spreadsheet?
In my case, the clipboard could contain multiple line of
text. CTL-V always puts each line in separate cells. I
can't see anything in paste special to help

Each of these will work:

1) Double-click in the cell to enter edit mode (assuming you have
the option enabled) before pasting.

2) Type F2 to enter edit mode before pasting

3) Paste directly into the formula bar.
