How to place excel charts into PowerPoint w/out distortion?

1. Make the charts the same size in Excel as they will have to be in
PowerPoint. This eliminates any resizing and reshaping you will need to do
after transferring the charts.
2. Paste pictures of the charts into PowerPoint (picture or metafile format,
not bitmap), or copy the chart as a picture (Shift+Edit menu > Copy Picture,
On Screen and Picture options).

If I'm using a picture of the chart, I use an embedded chart, which is
fairly easy to resize by dragging, or you can use Shift-Click to select the
chart object (white handles, not black, around the chart), then go to Format
menu > Object... > Size tab, and enter the height and width you want.

If it's a fully functioned chart, the best is to use a chart sheet, and
adjust the margins so the space between the margins is the size of the
chart.
