How to place permanent name, address, etc. at bottom of page

I notice that many people have their name, address, telephone number(s),
email address at the end of a document that they are sending. It's permanent
so you don't have to type this information over and over again. Is there an
easy way of doing this? Also, if you don't want the information on the page
is there an easy way of taking it off the pages you don't want the
information. Thank you very much.

How you do that depends on the program that you are using for email.
Investigate your help files for "signature block" and you should find the
appropriate method for setting up standard text in your email messages.

As for removing it, I find that the easiest method is to highlight and use
the delete key on the keyboard. <smile>

Have fun.

In general, whenever you want a document to contain specific information,
you create a template that contains that information;
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/CreateATemplatePart1.htm. If the
information is to go just at the end of the document, then you can insert it
in the template with a single body text paragraph above it, and enter the
rest of the document above the information. If you want it at the bottom of
every page, you can put it in the page footer; see
http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/HeaderFooter.htm. If the document is a
letter, you may find the information in
http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/Letterhead.htm useful.

Although you can delete the text from any document in which you do not want
it to appear, the usual solution would be to create that document based on a
template that does not contain it, such as Normal.dot. You are strongly
discouraged from adding text of any sort, but especially any text in the
header or footer, to Normal.dot; see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/CustomizeNormalTemplate.htm.
