How to print DB properties of an ER Diagram in Visio 2003 Pro?

I have built an ER Diagram using Visio 2003 Pro, and have not been able to
print, export or convert into any text file, the database properties
(Metadata) that I have added to my model.

I have read in multiple Visio Forums that I need to have MS Visual Studio
Enterprise Architect in order to do this…. But is it fair to spend around
some additional US$2500 just to get some documentation from my ER model???

Is there any other simpler solution? Do you have any suggestions? Has
anybody found another way to deal with this without making such an extra
investment?

I would appreciate any advice.
Thanks,

Thank you, Al, but I have already tried Orthogonal; it generates a very long
XML file, which does not include any of the notes that I added.
I was even trying to customize this output without much of success

Any other suggestion, please?

Thanks,
Ana

Unfortunately lack of access to embedded notes is a very common request with
no official way of getting to them. The good news is you didn't waste money
on the EA version to discover that.
sorry,
