How to print numbers or captions beneath slides on handouts?

Is there a way to print the slide number under each slide image in the
handouts? For example, if I have a handout with six slides per page, can I
print a 1, 2, 3, ...ect. underneath each slide?

Not AFAIK. You could use the send to Word Option, and mess with the tables
in Word. I have done it where I run the pages through the printer twice. I
created a template that printed the numbers where I wanted and then ran the
numbered pages through the second time to get the slides. Not something I
would do on a regular basis.

| This must be Steve 'n Michael Tag Team Day. ;-)
|
| Another approach that might work:
|
| While you can't use this to put numbers directly under the slides, if you
| format the slide number placeholder on the Slide Master (and Title Master
if
| need be) to make it larger and sitting at the very bottom of the slide,
you can
| get visible printed numbers on (though not under) each slide.

That storm is going to hit here tonight and through the day tomorrow.
starting with snow, turning to freezing rain and then to just rain. Oh well
6 more weeks of winter will be over according to the groundhog thingy.

| ROFL!

| Something like that. It's snowing today. First time this year, and
though
| nothing's sticking to the streets, I like to avoid driving.
