how to put background

i need someone's help, does anyone know if Microsoft Word
2000 has capabilities to put a jpeg file in the
background (as watermark? it needs to print) to fill up
the entire 8.5 x 11 page and still be able to type on top
of that image?

If you want the image just on one page, insert it and send it to the back
(or "Behind Text"). If you want it to appear on every page, see Word's Help
under "Create a watermark" or "HOW TO: Create a Watermark in Microsoft Word
