How to read or write data to parallel port using Microsoft Access

I'm developing a Microsoft Access application for printing direct to a
magnetic card printer. I need to have the status line from the port. I’ve
tried to use the Inpout32.dll for printing to the parallel port LPT1. I have
an access 2003 application on Windows XP and it gives an error saying Sub or
Function not defined when using Inp32(889) function.
How do I do to solve my problem?
