How to recover the Progress Bars when they disappear?

MS Project File/record locking?

They have simply stopped displaying the progress - although they were working
earlier.

bars disappearing. Please be specific to the view type and whether you are
seeing this in Project or Project Web Access, and remember to state the
software version you are using.

I've found this to be an annoyance with Project Web Access 2007 with
all of the service packs, where the Project Center web part won't
display progress bars. Almost always a republish of the plans will
fix this.

I would be interested to hear if anyone has a more persistent cure...
