How to reformat data file.

I received a data file of names and addresses formatted in Excel as follows:

John Smith
123 Main St
Newburgh, NY 12550
(Blank Line)
John Jones
234 Main St
Newburgh, NY 12550
(blank Line)
etc.

Is there a way to reformat this data so that it can be set up for a mail merge.

I had asked this question earlier, with no response, so I have asked it in a different format.
