How to reformat my index and navigation?

NZed

I have been trying to reformat my single website into two websites ...with
different navigation but also some shared pages.

website : amadeus.net.nz

I wish to have an introduction page featuring three businesses ...
amadeus hair & sound studio
amadeus distribution nz
and a link to www.hairextensions.co.nz

The goal is to have the amadeus hair & sound studio as one website
(www.amadeus.net.nz) and the amadeus distributors as another but all under
the same index.
ie two different branches but can still use the same format...so I can share
the same pages..eg amadeus.net.nz/directions.

Problems I am having.

Introducing a new index page but introduce a new replacement introducton
page as index. ie changing index page.

Navigation
Navigation for hair and sound studio
Navigation for amadeus distribution
also having some pages that share on the navigation.

In the www.hairextension.co.nz having a navigation button that links to
amadeus distributors. and vice versa.

Or do you have suggestions to do it a different way ?

Looking forward to your suggestions

You need to have the ability to create subwebs, some host do not allow this,
plus your host must allow you to have multiple domains pointing to your
account.

The best approach is to create 2 subwebs under your root web, in the root
you would have your home page, which would be a blank page the has code to
determine which domain is being requested, and then auto direct the user to
the correct subweb. In order to make you maintenance simple, do not try to
shared page between the two domains.

Really to accomplish depends on your host and how they have their server
configured and what server-side script is available.
