How to relink a shape using wizard in Visio 2003?

I am trying to use an old stencil and template that someone else created in
an earlier version of Visio. I have no experience creating stencils myself.

When I drag the shape from the stencil onto a drawing, I get an error
"Cannot connect to the data source 'C:\Program Files\Common
Files\ODBC\Datasources\xxxxxxx.dsn". Run the Wizard and relink the shape to
correct the problem." where xxxxxxxx is the name of the shape. This happens
with all shapes on the stencil. The shape behavior appears to work as it
used to, but I get this message everytime I add a new shape, which is very
annoying.

You are missing the original DSN file that had the links. What they are
doing is linking to an external database for custom properties. You should
be able to go thourgh the database wizard and remove the links. For 2003,
select Tools, Add-ons, Visio Extra, Database Wizard.

Once in there, click Next, then choose Link Shapes to Database Wizard. Then
figure out which shapes you want, On drawing, Document Stencil or Master
Stencil. Then on next screen select all the shape objects and click remove
links button and Finish.

I think that'll do what you are trying. Or you could copy the DSN from
other machine and original database and leave in the data pointers.
