how to remove groove outlook proxy

M

ms support

hello,
I started getting errors from outlook 2003 and saw a disabled outlook
plugin. It's called groove outlook proxy. It's also got gre698~1.dll
in parentheses.

I've looked on the control panel (add/remove programs) but don't see it.

We don't use this. How can I remove this? I also did a search using
windows explorer for 'groove' but nothing came up.

Thanks,

Oskar

Hi,

If you do not need that add-in, please perform the following steps to
disable it:

1. In OL, select Tools (menu) ->Options->Other->Advanced Options->Com
Add-Ins. Check whether you can find the Groove outlook proxy addin. If so,
please remove it.

2. If you cannot find the addin, select Tools (menu)
->Options->Other->Advanced Options->Add-In Manager. Can you locate the Groove
outlook proxy addin. If so, please remove it. Click OK to apply it.

Test this issue again. Is this issue resolved?

If not, please let me know the exact error message.

Hi,
I've done both of the things you've suggested and I do not see the
groove plugin. When I click on outlook help and about outlook, there is
the button you click for disabled items. That's where I can see the
groove outlook proxy that has been disabled. It isn't running so that's
good....but I'd like to make sure it's never runs!

Thanks,

Oskar
