How to remove recipients from To field in Sent Items

I have recently switched to from Office Exchange to Entourage and
would like to know how to remove recipients from the To field in the
Sent Items folder. The issue is when I sort Sent Items by the To
field, the additional "and number of recipients" in the cc and bcc
influence the search. My expected behavior is the Sent Items would be
ordered first by the To contact, then the date but because the value
"recipients" is in To field, the order of emails is by the actual
number of recipients!
Thanks,

What version of Entourage are you using? In Entourage 2008 you can do a
search using Spotlight that will allow you to find any set of criteria you
want.

You can also sort using custom arrangements if you are using 3 pane view.

Hi Diane,
Thanks for the reply!
I'm using Entourage 2008. I understand spotlight when i know what text
to search and i've played with the Edit Custom Arrangements as well.
Neither are really suitable because the To field still includes the
number of recipients. What I'm looking for a way to list emails sent
to a particular person in descending date order, regardless of the
other recipients that were entered in the cc/bcc fields. The problem
is the actual number of recipients is used to to sort the emails
before date sent. At the moment I can't see how this is achievable.
Thanks,

Unless using Raw Query in Custom mail views will do this, I agree. It's not
achievable.

Please don't ask me how to use Raw Query. It's over my pay grade. :)

Thanks,

I'm not sure I'm following your problem.

I go into my Sent Items folder and by default the Sent column is
selected and all my messages are sorted by Sent (newest on top).

Using the Quick Filter List (View --> Show Quick Filter List), I enter:

To <one of my recipients in a multiple recipient message)

This returns a list of messages where this recipient is in the "To"
field (although I may not necessarily see her name) and all the messages
are still sorted by Sent. The number of recipients does not affect my
seeing the sort order by Sent.
