How to remove the place holder on a slide?

I tried to put a title on to a slide, but when I wrote something in the place
holder, it would hide under the slide. How can I put a title onto a slide?

Do you mean you added a title using a textbox rather than where it says
'Click to add title'? I'm not sure what you mean by it hiding under the
slide....
