How to replace Office trial version with Office XP Pro?

Hi, I'm trying to replace a 60-day trial of MS Office 2003, with Office XP
Professional (purchased via from the MS Home USe Program). First attempt to
just load Office XP Pro didn't get it done (nothing seemed to work/open, so I
did a system restore). I'm not sure if I should uninstall trial's Office
components. Also, I can't find a PST file to save current email. Computer
is a 3-month old Compaq running XP. Thanks in advance!

I'm guessing you already installed your Office XP Home Use
Program software on your old computer, so you should read the End
User License Agreement to see whether you are allowed to also
install the software on your new computer. I'm guessing the
license allows installation on only one computer.
