How to request status through e-mail without using Prjoect Server

I used a little add-on at a previous job where I could request weeky project
status by sending an e-mail and then team members could respond to the e-mail
and I could directly incorporate their status in to the project. Does anyone
know how I can get this add-on? I can't remember what it was called.
