Ishaan Mehta

I am having problems in removing the automatic name checking and suggestion
in office xp with window xp professional as OS. I was able to solve this
problem in office xp with window 98 as OS, successfully, suggested on
microsoft site. (They suggest to rename *.nk2 file). The same soltuion is not
working for Office XP with Window XP Prof. as OS. Can anybody help me to
solve this? Thanks and Regards,

Ishaan

This is a first, then. You'll have to provide the explanation by stating in
detail what you did and what happened.

Dear Russ Valentine

I wish to clear the email-id's stored in cache while sending emails thru
outlook. First i searched on microsoft site and i got following URL, i.e.
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/HA011240661033.aspx which
suggested to search for files wtih .nk2 extension. I tried the options
suggested on that page. I was able to rename the files with nk2 extension on
PCs where office xp loaded and having window 98 as OS. But the same solution
has not worked for the PC where Office XP is loaded having Window XP Prof. as
OS. i.e. i am not able to search files with nk2 (*.nk2) extension. Then i
posted my question on discussion group. I got reply from you, thanks for the
same, and you also suggested one URL which explains the same solution which
earlier URL suggested. Again I tried to find files with nk2 (*.nk2) on PCs
where Office XP is loaded and Window XP Prof. as OS.

I hope, I have explained my problem in detail. Hope to get solution for the
same.

Regds,

Ishaan

The added information was the essential information. I'm not sure how I
could have surmised all this from "it didn't work..."
In operating systems after Windows 98, NK2 files are hidden files.
