With your CDs.

And please tell me how you managed to "accidentally" uninstall an entire
suite of programs?

JoAnn: Didn't say *uninstall*, said *deleted*. As we both know, that is a
big difference.

Okay - let me rephrase the question.

How can someone accidentally delete an entire suite of programs? I honestly
don't get it. A single file, yes. Several programs, nope. Just don't get it.

If you have no Office cd's your only recourse is to buy either Office2003
(latest version) or Ebay for Office2K
Or use Open Office its free and you can download it here
http://www.openoffice.org/ its a hefty download so you could buy from Amazon
I believe its listed as Star Office.
It is compatible with most if not all MS Office docs.
Also, importantly, if you do no have the MS Windows cd / recovery cd or a
hidden recovery partition you could run into trouble if any problems occur
with your windows installation.

If you are connecting to the internet ensure you have antivirus, AVG has a
free version and Firewall, ZoneAlarm has a free version

good luck

I doubt if there's a back up of Office anywhere. That's not something that
is done "normally". Your only option is to try to buy it used from eBay or
the like.

And I wasn't ridiculing. I've seen so many people say they accidentally
deleted Office and I just couldn't figure out how they managed it.
Unfortunately for you, you've had a lesson learned the hard way.

PLEASE NOTE: Since that system has Windows 98, the newest version of Office
you can run, albeit slowly, is Office XP (aka 2002). It will not run 2003 or
the beta for 2007. No tweaks, no downloads - ain't gonna work.

Good luck.
