How to rotate jpeg

I have inserted a jpeg into Word 2000 but can't rotate it even after
changing the text wrapping to square or tight. Can somebody rotate a
picture for me? I think this can be done with Word XP.

Rotate the image externally from Word in a graphics app., then reinsert.
Even Windows Paint will do this.
