I'm creating a template for someone and I would like to save a default for
autoshapes. Is this possible?
autoshapes. Is this possible?
reasonably.Steve Rindsberg said:It is here. Different, that is. AutoShape defaults go with the presentation,
that is.
Open one, make a really weirdly formatted rectangle, set it as default, save
the pres.
Start a new blank pres, draw a rectangle and it's back to its old defaults
(whatever's default for the blank template).
Open the original pres, draw another rectangle and ewww, it ugly again.
S'why one of the things I always do when creating custom templates is to make
sure the autoshape defaults and font formatting defaults are set
Steve Rindsberg said:Hm. Did you apply the template or base a new presentation on it?
The defaults only come along when you start a new presentation; they won't
overwrite the defaults in an existing pressie, IIRC.

Created a POT on 2003, saved it both with and w/o any slides included just as a
test.
Started 2000 on another computer and started with worst case: started a new
blank pres and then applied the template w/o slides. Seems my earlier bet was
a bit off: it DOES work when you apply a template to an existing pressie. No
need to start the pressie from scratch.

Mind, this is autoshape defaults ... fill, border color, border thickness/style
'n stuff. Does that
