Hi there
I have a document with 8 different templates on it. What im looking at doing is to when opening the document I need it to ask what template you would like to use and then go to that one when selected and input data as required.
Can anyone help

Word documents can only be based on a single template. They cannot contain templates. You are using Word terminology in a way that is foreign to Word.

Your description suggests that all you need do is create eight Word templates and choose which one to use when creating a document via File|New.
