the only groups this web page allows me to contact are "Outlook" - is anyone
able to help with a Windows XP problem?
I'm trying to save a text file created in MSWord on a CD. I get one of two
messages #1: When I choose the CD drive as my destination to save, copy or
move I get a message "incorrect function". #2 the CD drive is not available
to me because the administrator hasn't made it an option. I am the only
person currently using the home computer. I know I am recognized as the
administrator because one Microsoft site said the problem would be corrected
by performing the disk fragmentation process and one cannot do this unless
the administrator. Disk fragmentation did not correct the problem. I have
no problem with save, copy, move a text file to a diskette. The file I want
to save is quite large and I want to save on one CD instead of 3-4 diskettes.
How can I get my computer to let me save the file to the CD Drive? File
is in MSWord. I have tried to save to CD-RW which I was told was the type of
CD to use. Can anyone help? thank you.
