Is the second Project Server instance identical the first Project Server
instance? If so, then do the following:
1. Log into the first Project Server instance through Microsoft Project
Professional
2. Open the project and then click File - Save As
3. Click the Save as File button
4. In the Save as file dialog, select the "Currently loaded global items"
option
5. Click the Save button
6. Close the project and close Microsoft Project Professional
7. Open Microsoft Project again and log into the second Project Server
instance
8. Click Tools - Enterprise Options - Import Project to Enterprise
9. Carefully complete each step of the Import wizard, paying careful
attention to enterprise Project fields and matching enterprise resources
Hope this helps.

What is the right way to save the project from one server to another. I
understand I should save it first to a local drive, but how I can preserve
custom fields and then save it to another server.
