"picture mode"?
I think you may be wanting to save the Word document to PDF. If you have
Word 2007, a PDF functuion is built in.
If you have 2003 and prior, there are free PDF software, use your favourite
search-engine to find these.
Be aware though, even PDF (and any form of electronic file format) can be
cracked if someone really wants to, the only differential is how difficult it
is to do so.
