how to scan and find the document

I scan the document, like recipes and such, but then can't find the document.
When scanning, it says it will be in by MY SCANS, but when i go there, it's
not there??? What's happening and where are they?

1. Not an Office issue.

2. I would suggest saving the file in a location you can remember with a
name you can remember instead of allowing your scanner software to do it for
you.

You may want to check that you are looking in the correct My Scans folder
and not another MY SCANS folder you have created. The typical default is
Users, {User name}, Documents, My Scans.

While most scanners can save the scan in a number of formats, the default is
*.tif. You may want to click on Start and enter - *.tif - in the Search
box.
