How to see all timesheets

H

Huckey

Hi all,
I have the following situation: team members have their timesheet
managers whom they send the reports too: there are two timesheet
managers, each gets timesheet from his group (I am one of these
managers).

For the purpose of some analysis I need to see all timesheets,
regardles of whom they were sent to. I seem to have all possible
autorizations in the system but I do not know how to get access to all
timesheets (even those submitted to the other manager).

Is it possible via PWA? If so, how?

Thanks!

Best regards

Huckey

Hi Huckey,

I would utilise the Data Analysis functionality, which gives you the
abillity to analyse all timesheets.
Hope this helps

Hello Huckey,

As Marc mentionned, the fatest way is to use Data Analysis.

Go to:
server settings>Manage Views> New View
In the view Type, select "data analysis"
From there:
1. define your view (name, description).
2. Select the cube you want to dig data from (I would select "timesheet")
and click on apply
3. build your view in section "view definition" by dragging the different
field (same process as building a pivot table in Excel)
4. Define the Security categories for this view.

To go from step 1 to 4, The OLAP cube needs to be already available. If not
available (you will quickly know about it when selecting "data Analysis" in
the view type"), you 'll have to build the cube in section server
settings>Cube Build Settings.

Hope it will help.
