I'm under the impression I can use Outlook Express to view this forum a
a newsgroup. I'm not familiar with newsgroups and how to view thei
content. How do I set that up in Outlook Express

Thanks. I set up a new News account in OE and I'm now able to see thi
forum content in OE. It's clearly a different way of viewing the foru
threads. All topics simply listed in chronological sequence; n
separation by category as here in the forum

Again, I've never used OE, but I'm pretty sure you can group messages by
thread (or at least by subject).

Of course, you can use a real newsreader (see

http://www.newsreaders.com

for both free and commercial suggestions). My newsreader presents
threads by reference typographically:

which to me is much more convenient than "the forum" (AFAICT, the forum
is just a dressed up portal to the newsgroup) or by date, article
number, or any number of other criteria.

I use the Netscape 4.78 (circa 2001) to read the newsgroups, but if I go into
OE, I can click on:

View|Current View|
and see lots of options.
Near the bottom is: "Group messages by conversation"

Would just like to mention in passing that
the group by conversation is included on my main OE page

You might want to get a hotmail or other free email account
that is not the exactly the same before the @ as your regular email
account (numbers hardly matter), but it is good to be able to be
contacted occasionally. Of course it only works if you actually use it.
