How to see what's in each layer (2003)

How can I easily see what's in each layer?

I'd like a tab like the Background tab that will display just the
shapes assigned to that layer.

Any way to do that?

This is for Visio 2003.

This is for Visio 2003.

menu View -> Layer Properties
turn off the visibility of all but the required layer.

You can also click the # between the Name and Visible headings, this will give you a count
of the number of shapes on each layer.
