First, your computer must have a fax modem installed in it.
This is a physical piece of hardware and will have a
telephone jack (the same type as on your wall) on the modem
or if a laptop on the rear or side panel. If not you can't
send faxes from Windows using the Windows fax program.

If you have a fax modem installed in the computer and hooked
up to a standard telephone line you can use the Windows Fax
Console/printer driver to send a fax.

The Fax program driver must show up in your printer menu
when you print from a program. If it doesn't you need to
enable the Fax program (Start Add/Remove programs in Control
Panel and click on Add/Remove Windows Components on the left
side of the window that opens. Click on Fax Services box so
it is checked and then follow the instructions to install
the service in the computer.)

Once the service is there it needs to be configured. Do so
by double clicking on the Fax printer in Printers and Faxes
in Control Panel. Follow the instructions for the Wizard to
set up the dialing instructions to enable the computer to
dial out for the fax.

Once that is set up, print from any application to the Fax
printer and type in the information for the destination,
names, etc. and send.

For further information click Start, Programs, Accessories,
Communications, Fax, Fax Console and click help there (or
double click on the Fax printer in Printers and Faxes). It
has full instructions on configuring Fax console to send and
receive faxes.

Hope this helps, let us know.

You start by not asking the same question again and again. In the
newsgroup, answers come when they come.

See the response to your earlier post.

Seeing that your reply to the original question wasn't very helpful,
it's easy to see why the user would try to give it another shot.
