Question:
It looks like two columns, but I want to edit those 2 parts separately,
without effecting each other. Hope I make myself clear.

Hi, Cutty,

Use a table (Table > Insert > Table, select 2 columns and 1 row). You
can turn off all the borders (Ctrl+Alt+U; or go to Format > Borders
and Shading, and select None), leaving only the nonprinting gridlines
to guide you (if you don't see them, use Table > Show Gridlines).

Each time you want to start a new topic, put the cursor at the end of
the cell in the right-hand column and press the Tab key to add a new
row.
