How to set data type properties of many

We can create a new InfoPath form by improting a excel template in InfoPath
2007. But all text boxes datatype properties in new InfoPath form by this
way are string types . why not as same as number types (or other types) in
excel ?

There are many text boxes in an InfoPath form, and their default data types
are string types. The only way to set their data type properties to number
type is to do it one by one, no other way to do it faster and easily?
