How to set Outlook to show you responded to a message

In Outlook Express when you respond to a message it flags the message. I
can't seem to find a way to see that I have responded to a message in
Outlook. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Depending on the version and your account type, Outlook will show a
"replied" icon and/or will put "You replied on..." in the Infobar. You've
stated neither your Outlook version nor your account type, so that's as
detailed as I can get.

Account type? If it is related to the OS I am set as an administrator
