How to set the input range in a custom field

Hello,

We are creating a custom field at the Project level that needs to be
set to only accept numbers within a certain range. How can this be
done?

In 2007 this can be done programmatically by utilising a Server Side Event
(requires dev skills).

One way is to setup a value list containing only the valid values.
Otherwise, you need to enforce this programatically.

Our value needs to be greater then like 38000, thats what we need to
enforce. So programatically it is, thanks.
