I have several hundred names in my contact list. I want to send an invitation
to contacts in 3 of the categories that I have set up. How do I do that?
Thanks

Firstly you don't need to use Distribution Lists (read various posts hers
from Russ Valentine, MVP if you need to be convinced).

Turn on Advanced Toolbars, change you view of the Tasks folder to By
Category. Highlight the category you want to email and drag to the Outbox.
If you want to email merge that's also possible (many posts below).

Everyone - turn on your Advanced Toolbars and learn how to use the Field
Chooser and Group by Box!!

Your response might have helped me if you had bothered to explain HOW to turn

Sorry. From the main Outlook menu, View | Toolbars | turn it on with a
click there.

I think that if you had typed Toolbars into the Help window of Outlook, it
also would have told you.

I never know how basic to make my instructions as I have no idea of how
computer littlerate each writer is. I get just as many whinges about being
too simple as I do being too assumptive.
