How to show a 60 second timer in a ppt exam practical?

For a student exam, I show a question on a slide that automatically
transitions at 60 seconds.

How can I impose a 60 second countdown timer to start with each picture?

(It would be nice if the transition timer could just be seen !)

There are two (maybe more!) pages on timers Steve! The animated gifs are
simply gifs that count down from various times. Neat as long as you don't
want to continue timing over several slides
