How to show only un-replied-to messages?

Hi,

It would be extremely useful if there were a way to get a view of sent messages that have not been replied to. I've searched the forms and the web, but haven't found a way. Surely I'm not the only one who'd find that useful. Does the feature exist?

Thanks!
Ross

Use a Saved Search. Click on File>New>Saved Search and enter the following
criteria:

Match if all criteria are met

Status is not replied to
Folder is [name of your Sent Items folder]

Save the search, and it will be accessible in the Mail Views section of
Entourage's folder list. For convenient access, you can also drag that Saved
Search onto Entourage's Favorites bar.

In addition to Michel's suggestion, you can also click the fourth column
header that looks like a dot to sort by Message Status. Hold the Command
key as you hover your mouse over the column header and you'll get a
brief description.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for the reply. I created a saved search just as you described, and for the most part it works great. However, some of the items returned from the search are sent messages that do have replies. I verified this by looking at the Links in both the original sent message and the reply, and each has a link back to the other message.

I also made sure that the reply's "In-Reply-To" header matches the Message-ID value from the sent message, and also see that the "Thread-Topic" and "Thread-Index" values match exactly.

Any thoughts on why the sent message is still being displayed in the search?

Thanks,
Ross

Perhaps another way to look at this is to move your sent messages to another
folder rather than the sent folder. This way you can see if you received a
reply. You could add a Copy Message action to this if you want the message
in both the Sent and selected folder.

Create an Outgoing rule. Tools->Rules->Outgoing tab:

*If any criteria are met

IF Any to recipient contains (enter address or name)

THEN Move Message (select folder)
