How to sort a list of dates

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Intel

I want to sort a list of dates copied from iCal but I can't get the Word sort command to do any better than this:
January 2, 2009 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM
February 2, 2009 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM
December 12, 2008 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM
November 18, 2008 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM
October 24, 2008 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM

Select the text, and in the Table->Sort option, try:

Sort by field 1, type date, ascending
No header row
Click the options button, check Other, and replace whatever character is
in the box by the lowercase letter f
