How to sort 'selected' cells ???

No, when you sort, the sorting is applied on up to three fields, but it is
not possible to sort only a block of cells only. Hope this helps.

Sure, but you'll need to set up a spare flag field for a selection
criteria. Sort on the flag field as a first criteria and then on the
data you want.

You might find a filter followed by a sort more useful for selected data.
Or, try the grouping function. It's under Project/Group by/Customize
group by.
