how to still maintain highlight of a read message

usually when a new message comes it is in BOLD text format
When we read it, it will convert normal format (BOLD highlight goes away)

How can i still retain the BOLD Highlight, even after reading.
so that i can manually remove BOLD highlight when i read/replied etc

Edit-> Mark as Unread
Or change your options in Tools-> Options-> tab Other-> Reading Pane
