How to stop document map appearing automatically

I have suddenly started getting the doument map opening automaticallyy when I
open existing documents, even though I have not requested it and do not
require it. I can easily get rid of it, but then it opens the next time. I
cannot find out how to stop it opening.
It does not open on opening a new, blank docuent

ActiveWindow.DocumentMap = False
to an autoopen macro in normal.dot - see
