How to stop printing off top of page.
Have tried tabbing above first line, resetting margins, etc.
Nothing seems to work. When printing letter or documents the first line
prints half way off the top margin of page.
I may have selected a setting previously but cannot find anything that woudl
cause
this problem.

I suspect the issue may lie with the drivers you are using. Perhaps
checking with the printer manufacturers website for current drivers for
your printer model.

Have had same problem for several moths with present HP printer and previous
Epson printer. Do not believe it is driver problem. Suspect I have selected a
setting in Word somewhere that is overriding margin selections. Works fine
with envelopes and labels.

Have you reviewed your Page Setup settings? Or you could do as DL
suggested and recreate the NORMAL.DOT file.

Does it look okay in Print Preview? If so then the likely cause is your
printer driver. Try updating it and see if that resolves the problem. Even
though you may not have made any changes that doesn't mean the printer
driver isn't corrupt in some way.

Search for normal.dot and delete all instances, may help
Bingo - I found three and one was corrupted. Deleted all three and wrote a test page which worked normal in preview and actual print. First time I heard of normal.dot. Am novice on computers but am cusious about that file. Can you explain it in a line or two? Be Blessed
