How to stop receiving duplicate copies of the same message?

More is not necessarily good!

Periodically, I receive multiple copies of e-mail messages form cretain
senders in my Contacts and have been unable to determine why this happens or
how to stop it. This action does not appear to be caused by a virus as I run
the most current anti-virus program. It becomes quite a nuisance...any
suggestions to determine how to stop this from occurring?

What version of Outlook do you have? Do you only get duplicates from a
certain set of senders? If so, and if they are running an anti-virus
program that scans their outgoing messages, have them turn off that
outgoing scan - it seems to be implicated in the sending of duplicate
messages.
